Parents

Merriconeag Waldorf School is sustained by invaluable partnerships with parents who contribute time, energy, expertise and financial resources to further the school’s goals.

The possibilities for volunteering are endless:  assisting with play productions, class activities, field trips; serving as class parents or on board committees; helping with school festivals and fundraising events. Through volunteering, parents to get to know one another, help to build our school community, and deepen their understanding of Waldorf education. No matter your expertise or time availability, we hope to help you find a way to become involved in the Merriconeag community.

General Guidelines for Merriconeag

- If Freeport Public Schools are closed, we are closed.

In the past, we have closed school to protect the safety of families and faculty members driving greater distances than our local school systems cover. Please be sure to check specifically for Merriconeag's closing.

Guidelines for a Two Hour Delay:

EC families please note: a delay means that the Early Childhood morning program is cancelled. Children who attend for the school day or full day programs may be dropped off between 10:00 & 10:30. There will be no morning snack & the children should be dressed for the outdoors.

Grades 1-8 first bell will ring at 10:00. Main lesson will begin at 10:10.

High school vans will depart at 10:00.
