Designing Women Fine Art & Craft Fair, Saturday, November 16, 9:00 a.m. - 4 p.m., Community Hall, Merriconeag Waldorf School, 57 Desert Road, Freeport. $2 donation at the door benefits PDHDR. This year Designing Women has partnered with Partners for Rural Health in the Dominican Republic (www.PRHDR.org). A small group of USM nursing students (including EC parent, Talia Audley) who will be traveling with PRHDR this January, will open the "Craft and Fare Cafe" at the Designing Women Fair. The menu is full of contributors of local fame and flare: Bard Coffee, Milkweed Farm, The Holy Donut, New Morning Natural Foods, Standard Bakery, Two Fat Cats Bakery, Wild Oats Bakery and Cafe as well as many other local chefs. Auditions for the Maine Acoustic Festival: Merriconeag Middle & High School MusiciansTake Note!
The Maine Acoustic Festival is a statewide student festival promoting traditional acoustic music styles that have shaped Maine's culture. Maine Middle & High School students are eligible to audition.
Auditions for the 2014 Festival (March 27-29, 2014) will be held at 317 Main in Yarmouth on November 16, 2013.
