Circus Arts Camp ~ August 9 – 13, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
For children ages 10 and up

Led by Merriconeag Movement Teacher, John Saccone, and other guest artists

$200 per week*

* This fee includes a ticket to the Aug 6, 1:00 p.m. Circus Smirkus Big Top

Tour show in Freeport and a backstage tour that same day

After enjoying an inspiring and thrilling performance by Circus Smirkus, as well as a backstage tour on August 6th, our campers will learn the art of clowning, theater, mime, juggling, diablo, rola-bola, unicycling and more at Merriconeag's Circus Arts Camp beginning August 9th.

John Saccone has been the Movement Arts teacher at Merriconeag since 1996, as well as a professional mime, actor, clown and juggler for over 20 years. He performs regularly with his wife, Jackie Reifer, in Reifer & Saccone and is a resident guest artist with the Portland Ballet Company. John is certified in Bothmer gymnastics and a graduate of the Spacial Dynamics Institute where he continues his studies with Spacial Dynamics founder, Jaimen McMillan. John is also a teacher at the Rudolf Steiner Institute. John's daughter graduated from Merriconeag's eighth grade in 2003. He and his family live in Pownal.
