Swim Club Sign Ups: The Waldorf Swim Club was a huge success! 10 Merriconeag students had lots of fun enhancing their swimming skills through the guidance of Waldorf educated Bowdoin College swim team star Ryan Kulesza. Thank you very much Ryan! The last swim club session for the 2012-2013 school year was Saturday, May 18th. This was the last day that Bowdoin College was opened for the semester.
There is overwhelming interest in continuing the Waldorf Swim Club in the fall. I have more interested students than spots. Spots will be secured when a check is received. This will be on a first pay basis. The first session will be Saturday, September 7th.
Ryan will be a Junior at Bowdoin College. Ryan will offer 3 opportunities per week for the first session of school year 2013-2014. These sessions will be Monday at 530PM; Thursday at 530PM and Saturday at 230PM. Each member of the club should attend at least one of these but is encouraged to push themselves a bit and swim 2 of the 3 offerings each week.
This fall we will increase the size of the Waldorf Swim Club from 10 to 14. We will expand from 6-8th grade to 5th-8th grades.
Those who participated last year will have a spot held opened for them until July 15th. If a check is not received by this date, your spot will be opened to new members. Interested students should mail a check for $50 to:

Wanted to buy: Nursery Equipment. We're renewing the nursery room at my church (First Universalist of Yarmouth) which is used by about 15 children between 0 and 4 years old. Inspired by the nursery rooms at Merriconeag, we want to make it as beautiful and welcoming as we can; and to share a different, peaceful, uncluttered vision of what a nursery room can be. I was wondering if those of you whose children are growing older might have any spare play equipment or books you would like to move on. We are especially looking for: a wooden rocking horse, wooden climbing boxes/frames/tunnels for toddlers, an enamel tea set or small flatware
child size broom, brush and dust pan books such as Pele's New Suit, Ox Cart Man, Dahlov Ipcar, Robert McCloskey and Ezra Jack Keats. You can contact me at 207 809 4758 (8am - 8pm) or (06/04)
